Hon Simon Watts: The financial separation of Watercare, supported by appropriate oversight and economic regulation through the Charter has improved Auckland Council’s long-term financial sustainability Critically, the financial separation has provided Auckland Council with additional debt headroom between its current debt levels and its debt to revenue limit.
