14547 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Regulation: What advice, if any, has the Minister received regarding concerns that cutting early childhood teacher qualification requirements will lead to worse outcomes for tamariki?

Hon David Seymour: Information about the Early Childhood Education (ECE) regulatory sector review is available on the Ministry for Regulation website. https://www.regulation.govt.nz/regulatory-reviews/early-childhood-education-ece-regulatory-sector-review/ The information includes the ECE sector full and summary regulatory review reports. Details of implementation are to be determined by the Ministry of Education, and I will receive advice in due course.
