14391 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Tertiary Education: What was the composition of vehicle fleets, if any, in the Minister’s department’s, agencies, crown entities or any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, by fuel type in percentage terms in 2021?

Hon Penny Simmonds: The Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) owned two vehicles during the 2020/21 financial year, both of which had petrol engines. 22 motor vehicles were transferred to TEC as part of its merger with Careers New Zealand on 1 July 2017. Immediately before the merger, TEC had no motor vehicles. TEC reviewed its motor vehicle ownership during the 2018/19 year, selling 16 motor vehicles during the year. This continued as TEC sold four more motor vehicles during 2019/20 and the final two motor vehicles during 2020/21.
