14318 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Trade and Investment: What was the composition of vehicle fleets, if any, in the Minister’s department’s, agencies, crown entities or any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, by fuel type in percentage terms in 2024?

Hon Todd McClay: For New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, I am advised that for the 2023/24 Financial Year the New Zealand vehicle fleet was 50% petrol/diesel, and 50% BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle). Invest New Zealand was established 1 July 2025.
