14175 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Foreign Affairs: What was the composition of vehicle fleets, if any, in the Minister’s department’s, agencies, crown entities or any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, by fuel type in percentage terms in 2021?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: I am advised that in 2021, the composition of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade's (MFAT) fleet was: Electric vehicles: 0.61%, Plug-in hybrids: 1.23%, Mild Hybrids: 3.68%, Fossil fuelled: 94.48%. The entire MFAT fleet is offshore. For Antarctica New Zealand, the Christchurch vehicle fleet was: Electric vehicles: 29%, Diesel vehicles: 42%, Petrol vehicles: 29%.
