14134 (2025). Tamatha Paul to the Minister of Justice: What reports, if any, can be prepared for the courts using legal aid to help the judge understand the defendant in front of them?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: I can advise the Member that legal aid providers can engage with specialist third-party providers to complete a range of independent specialist reports in criminal proceedings, that are eligible to be funded by legal aid.
