14075 (2026). Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister of Conservation: What modelling or early-warning systems are in place to identify ecological risks at the Pukepuke Lagoon, if any?

Hon Tama Potaka: I am advised that the Department of Conservation does not have modelling of ecological risks or “early-warning systems” in place at Pukepuke Lagoon. The Department is aware that Horizons Regional Council do some water monitoring at this site.
