14059 (2026). Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister for Energy: What proportion of New Zealand households, if any, could be supported to adopt rooftop solar to reduce fuel demand?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that it is a decision for each individual household to take - important factors to consider include electricity consumption as well as geographic location and power prices. This Government has been actively working to remove red tape which has been getting in the way of people taking up rooftop solar.
