14001 (2026). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Minister of Education: In response to Reply 3565 (2026), was the Ministry of Education and/or the Minister advised that a backup of the data was necessary; if so, was having one backup located offshore sufficient?

Hon Erica Stanford: Yes. I am advised by the Ministry of Education (the Ministry) that data backups are required to meet the non-functional requirements for the Student Monitoring, Assessment and Reporting Tool (SMART). As per the provider agreement for SMART, there is more than one data backup. One backup is held onshore, and there is a redundant (backup) system available offshore.
