13982 (2026). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What proportion of existing contracts for the delivery of publicly funded elective surgical services provided by third parties are with first time or new third parties, if any?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that three out of 34 of contracts to deliver publicly funded elective surgical services, signed between December 2024 and November 2025, were with providers with which Health New Zealand had not held a previous contract.
