13966 (2026). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: Has Health NZ received any offer from the private sector to expand elective surgical services capacity in return for a firm elective surgical services contract?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that Health New Zealand has conducted a process to secure proposals from providers to establish commitment contracts with Surgical Panel providers.
