13937 (2026). Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister for Energy: How many homes currently have rooftop solar installed, and what is the annual growth rate?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that according to the Electricity Authority’s distributed generation dashboard, there are 75,790 residential solar connections as at 28 February 2026. The number of homes with solar grew by 16.2% over the past year (1 March 2025 to 28 February 2026).
