13936 (2026). Hon Dr Megan Woods to the Minister of Transport: What advice, if any, did the Minister receive between June 2025 and February 2026 on the implications for New Zealand's road and freight networks of a sustained fuel supply disruption?

Hon Chris Bishop: As Minister of Transport, I didn't receive any such advice in 2025. For advice received in 2026, MoT and NZTA publish monthly lists of titles of advice provided to me (refer to https://www.transport.govt.nz/about-us/our-corporate-publications/proactive-releases/results and https://www.nzta.govt.nz/about-us/advice-provided-to-ministers). Some of the titles may not be released if they relate to the provision of free and frank advice or are under active consideration. Furthermore, staff in my Office may informally receive documents, including draft advice, from officials and other Ministers' Offices. This information is not held in a format that can be easily extracted within the timeframe.
