13934 (2026). Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister for Energy: What funding, if any, has been allocated to rooftop solar, battery storage, and community energy systems in the past 3 years?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that the Community Renewable Energy Fund has allocated $18.06 million to 184 projects. These include a mixture of solar, battery storage and community energy systems. Through the Solar on Farms programme (launched in June 2025 and administered by EECA), the Government has committed $2.5 million to support the demonstration of a mix of rooftop or ground mounted solar and battery storage systems across 38 different farms.
