13919 (2026). Hon Willie Jackson to the Minister for Māori Development: Has he sought an assessment of the risk that cutting health and safety roles at Te Puni Kōkiri will increase the likelihood of staff burnout and elevated stress, particularly given that the PSA has warned that mahi currently performed by disestablished roles will fall on already stretched staff?
Hon Tama Potaka: This is an operational matter for Te Puni Kōkiri and the Secretary for Māori Development. I am advised final decisions on Te Ara Whakamua | The Way Forward 2026 (Corporate and Risk & Assurance) have yet to be made.
