13898 (2026). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Lead Coordination Minister for the Government's Response to the Royal Commission’s Report into Historical Abuse in State Care and in the Care of Faith-based Institutions: Who, if anyone, is Chair of the Safety in Care System Leadership Group?

Hon Erica Stanford: The Chair of the Safety in Care System Leadership Group will be confirmed before the first meeting in mid-May. The Terms of Reference specify that they will be an independent Chair, from one of the population agencies or the Public Service Commission, and will be agreed by the Leadership Group in consultation with the Lead Coordination Minister.
