13754 (2026). Scott Willis to the Minister for Energy: Is MBIE still tracking importer fuel margins despite the decision to stop publishing them publicly?

Hon Simeon Brown: Yes. The conflict in the Middle East and its flow on effects on oil markets is contributing to increased volatility in international oil prices. This led to changes in the MBIE series that have not been seen since weekly monitoring of this data began, and we continue to monitor its performance.
