13752 (2026). Scott Willis to the Minister for Energy: Were fuel importers consulted on the decision to stop publishing estimates of fuel margins on the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment website?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment engages with fuel importers on the methodology used for monitoring national average fuel prices. In this case, fuel importers were not consulted as MBIE has not changed the methodology of the weekly margin series.
