13728 (2026). Mike Davidson to the Minister of Internal Affairs: Does Fire and Emergency New Zealand have a well maintained and serviced fleet?

Hon Brooke van Velden: Fire and Emergency have assured me that they have a well maintained and serviced fleet. However, with a fleet of approximately 1,300 appliances, maintenance issues will arise from time to time. Fire and Emergency manage this through a networked response model, which ensures backup appliances and crews can respond if a truck is temporarily unavailable.
