13693 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Economic Development: What was budgeted for the Ministers' departments, if any, for the Carbon Neutral Government Programme in the 2023/24 financial year and how much was spent?

Hon Melissa Lee: For the 23/24 financial year, the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) budgeted $40,000 for Carbon Neutral Government Programme, related measurement, reporting and audit. The 2023/24 budget includes delivery of a reporting and analytics platform that is currently in implementation. As at end of April 2024, MBIE have spent $9,228.00 towards the Carbon Neutral Government Programme. The total budgeted cost for the Carbon Neutral Government programme at New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) was $125,160 for the 2023/24 financial year. In the financial year 2023/24 the total cost for the Carbon Neutral Government Programme at NZTE was $125,225.
