13666 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Corrections: What was budgeted for the Ministers' departments, if any, for the Carbon Neutral Government Programme in the 2023/24 financial year and how much was spent?
Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that direct operating costs of $0.05m for emission verification and other professional fees was allocated in budget 2023/24 for the Carbon Neutral Government Programme (CNGP). Staff costs associated with reporting to the CNGP are not factored into these figures.
The following budgets are also allocated for the following initiatives include:
• $12.2m capital funding across three financial years (2022/23 to 2024/25} to purchase electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles,
• $2.7m capital funding in 2023/24 for electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and
• $0.3m of operating funding for boiler replacement feasibility studies.
