13587 (2025). Camilla Belich to the Minister for Children: What is the total amount, if any, spent on severance payments and redundancy packages by any agencies under the Minister’s responsibility since 27 November 2023, broken down by agency and highest individual payment?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised by Oranga Tamariki that they have paid a total of $17.6 million. This includes severance and redundancy payments, cessation leave and payments in Lieu of notice periods since 23 November 2023. I am further advised that the highest individual redundancy including redundancy, and in leu of notice and cessation leave was $215,361.
