Hon Todd McClay: For the 2023/24 financial year, MPI allocated a budget of $84,915 for independent verification of its 2022/23 measured and reported carbon emissions. Independent verification provides assurance that MPI’s emissions are reported accurately, and emission reduction approaches are suitable. As a result of efficiencies realised in MPI’s emissions data collection and measurement approaches, the anticipated spend for the 2023/24 financial year is forecast to be $36,688. Resourcing to implement the programme is funded from MPI’s baseline.
