13437 (2025). Camilla Belich to the Minister for Economic Growth: What is the total cost, if any, of outsourced research or reports commissioned by any agencies under the Minister’s responsibility since 27 November 2023, broken down by agency, purpose, and provider?

Hon Nicola Willis: Some information regarding financial year costs associated with the cost of outsourced research or reports for the year 2023–24 are detailed in the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment's 2023-24 Annual Review documents. I refer the Member to questions 83, 123 and 142 of these documents, which are publicly available on Parliament’s website. Information for the 2024–25 year will be publicly available in MBIE's 2024–25 Annual Review documents. Providing this information within the required timeframe would require substantial time and resources. It is my view that the application of additional resources to answer this and similar questions now is not a good use of taxpayer funds and therefore not in the public interest.
