13401 (2024). Hon Marama Davidson to the Minister for the Prevention of Family and Sexual Violence: How is the Minister planning to work towards the Government goal of seeing “a reduction in the number of people impacted by serious offending, including sexual assault, to 20,000 fewer by 2029”?

Hon Karen Chhour: Delivery of the Government Targets is the responsibility of a lead minister and lead public service agency chief executive, working in partnership with other ministers and their agencies as appropriate. For the Government Target to reduce violent crime, the lead minister is the Minister of Justice, Hon Paul Goldsmith. The second Action Plan for Te Aorerekura, which is currently under development, will contribute to the Government Target to reduce violent crime.
