Hon Andrew Hoggard: Food Safety portfolio priorities are developed by the Ministry for Primary Industries to reflect significant work programmes within the food safety system. The Red Meat Regulatory Inspection and Supervision Programme forms part of MPI’s operational responsibilities under the Animal Products Act 1999.
