13387 (2026). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: What, if any, engagement has the Ministry of Social Development and Employment had with the employer or workers associated with the potential job losses due to Talley's consideration of closing its Westport fish processing factory, listed by date?

Hon Louise Upston: I am advised by the Ministry of Social Development (MSD) that MSD has engaged with Talley’s representatives several times during the week ending 10 April to offer supports as they go through their consultation process. MSD are well connected with Talley’s and plan to work alongside them and impacted staff once the consultation process has been completed.
