13338 (2024). Hon Jo Luxton to the Minister of Immigration: What correspondence, including letters, emails, text messages, whatsapp, signal, or any other form of electronic communication, if any, did the Minister or any member of their Office receive between 27 November 2023 and 23 May 2024 (both dates inclusive) from Federated Farmers or any person working on behalf of Federated Farmers, by subject and date?
Hon Erica Stanford: • Emails on 22 December 2023 and 8 February 2024 concerning rural labour supply, responded to by email dated 6 March 2024. • A letter on 19 January concerning an individual case, responded to on 6 March. • A joint letter from Federated Farmers on 22 March concerning the Accredited Employer Work Visa and the agricultural sector. • An invitation to discuss farmer retention and the median wage requirement, received on 27 March. Five emails resulted between 12 and 16 April for the purpose of scheduling a meeting. • An iMessage from a board member of Federated Farmers on 7 March, regarding immigration settings and their relevance to the agriculture sector. I also exchanged three messages with the board member on 26 April regarding scheduling a call. I exchanged a further eight iMessages with the board member on or around 24 May while I was overseas, regarding changes announced to the Accredited Employer Work in April. • iMessages with a staff member of Federated Farmers on 3 May, two of these messages regarded my portfolio as Minister of Immigration, they concerned the portfolio generally and the Accredited Employer Work visa. My office has collated this information only where it relates to my capacity as Minister of Immigration.
