13319 (2024). Greg O'Connor to the Minister for Veterans: What correspondence, including letters, emails, text messages, whatsapp, signal, or any other form of electronic communication, if any, has the Minister had with officials regarding the backlog of applications for the Veterans' Independence Programme?

Hon Chris Penk: I received a paper on 7 March 2024, titled Addressing Delays in Processing Claims from Eligible Veterans, which included advice about the then backlog of applications for the Veterans’ Independence Programme. I have also received advice regarding the change to the Veterans’ Independence Programme in weekly reporting on 15 March, 5 April and 19 April 2024, and this was included in the Briefing to the Incoming Minister for Veterans.
