13274 (2024). Ingrid Leary to the Minister of Corrections: Has the Minister looked at reviewing the conditions within prison Intervention and Support Units, if not, why not?

Hon Mark Mitchell: It is my expectation that all units in prisons, including Intervention and Support Units are fit for purpose, and are improved when necessary if it is reasonable to do so. I am further advised that work is underway to improve the physical environments within Intervention and Support and Units to ensure they are as supportive as possible of people’s wellbeing and recovery.
