13270 (2026). Hon Jo Luxton to the Minister for Biosecurity: What is the estimated funding required to eradicate, or control wilding conifers across New Zealand over the next ten years?

Hon Andrew Hoggard: The level of funding required to control wilding conifers depends on the level of control sought. I am advised that various options for control were considered at a high level in the 2018 and 2022 Cost Benefit Analysis documents which have previously been published and are available on the Ministry for Primary Industries’ website.
