13268 (2024). Hon Barbara Edmonds to the Minister of Finance: Can the Minister rule out selling off State Owned Assets?
Hon Nicola Willis: No, because "State Owned Assets" is a very broad term. Government agencies routinely sell assets once they reach the end of their lives or if they are surplus to requirements, for example office furniture or vehicles. However, the Government’s priorities are implementing the commitments outlined in coalition agreements and the Speech from the Throne, and this does not include the sale of Cown Entity companies, State Owned Enterprises or Mixed Ownership Model companies.
