13243 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: When was the Minister made aware of the need for an improved surveillance system for communicable diseases?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am aware of ongoing improvements being undertaken to improve the surveillance system for communicable diseases and was originally briefed on this as part of the Briefing to the Incoming Minister of Health in December 2023.
