13203 (2025). Camilla Belich to the Minister of Internal Affairs: What is the total amount, if any, spent by any agencies under the Minister’s responsibility on subscriptions or memberships to external organisations since 27 November 2023, broken down by agency and organisation?
Hon Brooke van Velden: The Department of Internal Affairs:
I am advised by the Department of Internal Affairs that since 27 November 2023, the total amount spent on domestic and international travel was $2.054 million. This response is limited to airfare expenses and exclude booking fees, taxi and/or car hire, petrol, transfer fees, among others as they cannot be easily categorised by destination.
For a breakdown of destinations, I refer the member to the table attached at Appendix A.
Office of Film and Literature Classification (the Classification Office):
I refer the member to the table attached at Appendix A.
Lotto New Zealand:
I refer the member to the table attached at Appendix A.
Fire and Emergency New Zealand (Fire and Emergency):
I am advised by Fire and Emergency New Zealand that its total amount spent on domestic and international travel was $16,606,434. Domestic travel accounts for $16,033,157 of this cost, and international travel accounts for $573,278 of this cost.
This cost is unable to be broken down by purpose and destination combined. However, a list of travel purposes, and a list of destinations are attached at Appendix A.
