13173 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: Further to Replies 11665 and 11666 (2026), by what date does NZTA expect to complete its enforcement review, and how many individuals are currently under consideration for infringement notices or prosecution, if any?

Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised by NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) that timelines will be dependent on the advice received. NZTA is currently seeking external advice to inform its decision on enforcement actions. NZTA expects to receive this advice in the coming weeks. However, because the timing and content of that advice will affect the next steps, NZTA is not yet able to provide an estimated date for completion of the review. As the matter is currently under investigation, information regarding the number of individuals cannot be made available at this time.
