Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: Further to Reply 11656 (2026), of the individuals in the cohort who were involved in recorded road crashes during the period of the fraudulent conversions, how many of those crashes occurred after February 2025, when the fraud had been detected but the vulnerability had not yet been closed?

Hon Chris Bishop: Providing this information could prejudice the maintenance of the law, including these people’s rights to a fair trial, due to ongoing investigations and legal processes.
