13161 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: Further to Reply 11655 (2026), of the individuals in the cohort who did not reobtain a Class 5 licence following testing, how many were found to have been operating commercially as drivers in the period between their fraudulent conversion and the suspension or cancellation of their licence?
Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised that in regard to the 270 individuals that either opted out or did not pass necessary tests to retain a Class 5 licence, 181 of these were either confirmed drivers at commercial roadside vehicle inspections during the period, incurred traffic offences related to driving commercially, or were linked to a Transport Organisation Register Online (TORO) or Driver Check account, between conversion of their overseas licence and suspension of their licence.
