13142 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister for Infrastructure: How many, if any, foreign investors who attended the New Zealand Infrastructure Investment Summit held in Auckland on 13–14 March 2025 have been engaged in follow-up discussions with New Zealand government agencies or ministers regarding specific infrastructure investment opportunities, and in how many cases, if any, have those discussions progressed to a formal procurement stage?
Hon Chris Bishop: Between NIFFCo and Invest NZ, all organisations who attended the Summit were followed up with, including over 30 international investors who responded to the follow up, demonstrating a strong level of engagement.
The Northland RoNS and Christchurch Men’s Prison PPP projects announced at the Summit are in the advanced stages of procurement and Summit participants have actively taken part in all pre-procurement market engagement activities on other projects that have arisen, including the Toll Concessions market sounding.
