13135 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister for Infrastructure: What follow-up engagement, if any, has occurred with attendees of the New Zealand Infrastructure Investment Summit held in Auckland on 13–14 March 2025 since the conclusion of that event, and which agencies have been responsible for managing those relationships?
Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised that Invest NZ and NIFFCo established connections with major investors from Europe, the United States, and Asia during and following the Summit. These relationships remain active, with ongoing engagement on specific investment opportunities, particularly around energy infrastructure, and renewable projects. They also continue to engage with many of the attendees through their respective investor engagement roles (NIFFCo as investor shopfront for public infrastructure, Invest NZ as shopfront for Foreign Direct Investment).
