13130 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Justice: What is the current status of the Waitakere Courts public-private partnership procurement following the New Zealand Infrastructure Investment Summit held in Auckland on 13–14 March 2025, and has a business case been approved and funded?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: I am advised the Justice Property Partnership (JPP) Project, which included new builds for the Rotorua High and District Court, Rotorua Māori Land Court, and Waitākere District Court, had a Detailed Business Case previously approved by Cabinet in October 2024. The JPP Project was presented to the NZ Infrastructure Investment Summit in 2025. The Ministry of Justice continues to work closely with the government to seek funding through the annual budget cycle to progress this project.
