13023 (2024). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister for Children: Will new staff be recruited at Oranga Tamariki to lead and deliver the Young Offenders Military Academies; if so, how many and on what contract terms (ie: full-time, permanent, contractors, part-time, etc.).

Hon Karen Chhour: The Military-style academies pilot is in the design phase. My ministerial colleagues and I are awaiting advice on the design, and operation of the Military-style academies pilot, including staffing.
