12951 (2024). Hon Marama Davidson to the Minister for Children: How much of the $7.049 million allocated in Budget 2023 to ‘Court Support Service for Tamariki and Rangatahi Sexual Violence Witnesses’ in vote Oranga Tamariki has been spent and how much remains unspent over the forecast period?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised that of the $7.049 million allocated in Budget 2023 to ‘Court Support Services for Tamariki and Rangatahi Sexual Violence Witnesses’, $0.432 million was appropriated in the 2023/24 financial year. Of this, $0.215 million has been spent and $0.217 million has yet to be spent in the remainder of 2023/24. The remaining $6.617 million allocated in Budget 2023 has been appropriated in future financial years and as such will be spent in the financial year for which it is appropriated.
