12897 (2026). Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister of Health: How many pharmacy closures, if any, have been reported in the country in the past 12 months?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that Health New Zealand holds contracts with just over 1,000 community pharmacies throughout New Zealand. I am further advised that while pharmacies do not report closures to Health NZ, available data suggests that the number of pharmacies has been relative stable in the last 12 months.
