12842 (2026). Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister of Health: What monitoring, if any, is being undertaken by Health New Zealand regarding MRI wait times and regional disparities?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that Health New Zealand monitors MRI wait times through district radiology data submissions to National Collections and the Radiology Health Data Platform. This enables oversight of district and regional performance and informs targeted actions to address variation.
