12839 (2026). Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister of Health: What steps, if any, is Health New Zealand taking to ensure continuity of gastroenterology services for patients in the MidCentral region?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that MidCentral has an action plan in place to ensure the continuity of gastroenterology services for patients. This includes active recruitment; recruitment of locums; support from the wider regional and national teams, and outsourcing procedures where possible.
