Hon Priyanca Radhakrishnan to the Minister for Disability Issues: Does she agree with the former Minister Hon Penny Simmonds that restricting flexibility of funding for disability support services as announced on 18 March 2024 was a decision by Whaikaha, or did the former Minister direct Whaikaha to “…develop advice on limiting the proportion of “individualised funding” budgets that are deemed “flexible”.”?

Hon Louise Upston: I am advised the previous Minister and Ministry of Disabled People – Whaikaha worked together to manage cost pressures.
