12783 (2026). Hon Ginny Andersen to the Minister for Tertiary Education: On what date or dates did the TEC receive confirmation that the Teachers’ Institute had received the necessary approvals and accreditations from NZQA and the Teaching Council for its programme considered in the TEC’s 2025 Investment Round and on what date did the TEC confirm to the Institute that it would receive funding in that year?

Hon Penny Simmonds: I have been informed by the Tertiary Education Commission that the Teachers Institute funding was confirmed on 10/12/2024 and that they received confirmation of the Teachers Institute NZQA approval and Teaching Council approval on 12/12/2024.
