12781 (2026). Hon Ginny Andersen to the Minister for Tertiary Education: How many new providers, if any, considered in the TEC’s Investment Rounds for 2025 and 2026 did not have the necessary NZQA and Teaching Council approvals for their programmes when the TEC funding panel considered their applications and for each such provider, what was its name, what approval or accreditation did it not have and when, if at all, was its funding application approved?
Hon Penny Simmonds: I have been informed by the Tertiary Education Commission that in the 2025 Investment Round there were 7 providers that did not have the necessary NZQA and/or Teaching Council approvals.
