12729 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Tertiary Education: How many disability support or advisory roles, if any, are there currently at Eastern Institute of Technology?

Hon Penny Simmonds: EIT has the following roles in Disability, totalling 3.4FTE: 2FTE Academic Learning Advisor - Disability (these two roles provide academic support specifically for learners with disabilities in Hawkes Bay) 1FTE Student Disability and Wellbeing Support Liaison (this person co-ordinates disability support, arranging classroom and exam support, dyslexia testing, staff professional development, etc.) 0.4FTE Student Support Advisor (this is an estimate of the FTE allocated by one of our Tairāwhiti Student Support Advisors who looks after students with disabilities, as there is not a specific role for this in Tairāwhiti)
