12720 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Tertiary Education: How many disability support or advisory roles, if any, are there currently at Wintec?

Hon Penny Simmonds: At present, Wintec has 1.0 FTE allocated to disability support services, including the assessment of learner needs and the facilitation of appropriate accommodations. Complementing this, the Kaiawhina team have been upskilled to contribute to needs assessments and a small pool of casual Notetakers and Reader-Writers is also maintained and mobilised as required to provide responsive, targeted support.
